  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • ½ cup nut butter (peanut or almond work well)

  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup

  • 1–2 tsp maca powder

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds or ground flaxseed (optional)

  • 1–2 tbsp dark chocolate chips or shredded coconut (optional)

There you have it—the perfect healthy energy ball! Made with simple ingredients, these bites are great as a mid-morning snack, a pre-activity boost, or something sweet after school or work. Enjoy!

Step 1

In a medium bowl, stir together the oats, nut butter, honey (or maple syrup), and Maca powder until fully combined. Add any optional mix-ins such as chocolate chips or shredded coconut and mix again.

Step 2

Mix until all the ingredients are well incorporated. Using clean hands or a spoon, scoop out small portions and roll them into bite-sized balls. If the mixture feels too dry, add a little more nut butter; if too sticky, add a sprinkle of oats.

Step 3

Once the mixture is rolled and placed on a tray. Place the energy balls in the fridge for 15–20 minutes to firm up. Store in an airtight container in the fridge and enjoy throughout the week.
